L to R: Extractly’s directors: Graham Day, Jake Oldfield and William Kenyon
.
Dust extraction specialist, Extractly, has taken over the lease on offices, workshop and warehouse space which, until its acquisition by Filtermist in January 2019, had been the headquarters of the former DCS Group of companies.
With over 750 sq m of available floor space, the premises are without doubt a big step up for the young company but Extractly’s directors, all former employees of both DCS and Filtermist, are confident that the timing is perfect for them and are eager to push the business forwards as the country’s manufacturing sector gears up for a return to pre-Covid operating levels.
Established just two years ago, by Jake Oldfield, as an online source of specialist materials and equipment for dust and fume extraction engineers, Extractly is now the Nordfab-approved supplier and installer for the north of England, and is also an approved installer of the Ecogate® energy-saving extraction control system. Despite the turmoil of the past 12 months, the company has forged ahead and is now a three-way partnership, as Jake Oldfield has been joined by former colleagues William Kenyon, who takes on the role of technical director, and Graham Day as operations director.
Situated on Shaw Cross Business Park, in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, and just 10 miles south of Leeds, the site is ideally located within three miles of both the M1 and M62; ensuring swift dispatch of extraction-related products ordered via their online shop, and providing easy access to customers at all points of the compass.
“We’ve got a big space here, and big shoes to fill,” agreed the directors, “but we’ve got a great team together now, with a huge amount of industry experience.” The management team also includes former DCS colleagues Kieran Redmond, Project Manager, Tom Firth, Contracts Manager, and Service Manager, Jordan Rickett.
