AJB Group, previously based in Leicester, specialises in the design and manufacture of high quality internal joinery, external door sets, windows, composite doors and mouldings. The company recently purchased machinery from Daltons Wadkin – an investment that has proven to be highly beneficial.

AJB Group contacted Daltons Wadkin sales director Andy Walsh regarding its need to improve and speed up its crosscutting operations.

Operations director Mandeep Binji was keen to take the company’s crosscutting capability to a new level. The company purchased equipment from Daltons Wadkin, whose engineers later installed it at AJB’s new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Corby, Northamptonshire. The machine chosen was a Salvador S200 Superpush with 6000mm infeed tables.

The machine has programmable controls, twin aligners, a pusher ejection outfeed system coupled with waste trap door, label printing and software technology, providing AJB with massive reductions in both production time and wastage.

Mandeep comments: “We were very excited to equip our new facility in Corby with the latest technology and much improved capacity and Daltons Wadkin provided the answer.  The Salvador system has only been in operation since April but the benefits to our business are outstanding.

“The machinery was delivered, installed and commissioned efficiently and we are more than comfortable with the expertise and back-up provided by Daltons Wadkin. The Salvador has more than justified my market research in identifying the best and most suitable automatic crosscut saw.”
