Firmly established in the trade’s calendar as the UK’s biggest bed exhibition, the National Bed Federation’s (NBF) annual Bed Show is back for a fifth year and is bigger than ever with the addition of a third hall.

Other than extra space, the event will keep the same format – two days at the Telford International Centre – opening Tuesday (9am-5.30pm) and Wednesday (9am-4pm) on the 23rd and 24th September. Once again, parking and entry will be free and there will be complimentary refreshment vouchers for visitors.

“The support we’ve had since the first show has been phenomenal – from both exhibitors and visitors alike. We listen to what they want and that’s why over the years we’ve altered the opening hours and this year, added a third hall, always ensuring though that the event remains a tightly focused, relevant show,” says NBF executive director, Jessica Alexander.

What makes the Bed Show platform unique is the mix of both bed manufacturers – all with British manufacturing bases – and component suppliers. With 78 confirmed brands exhibiting, it is a must-attend event for anyone interested in sourcing components for making mattress and beds.

The components suppliers will be showing everything from bed making and packaging machinery and tools, foams, fibres and natural fillings, springs, tickings and mattress covers and labels, plus a host of other components.

Online registration is already open for visitors at the show’s dedicated website which has been revamped for 2014 to make it fresher, easier to navigate, compatible on all devices such as mobile phones and tablets and easier to keep up to date.

Says Jessica: “The industry can have absolute confidence that the Bed Show will continue to be the home of the bed trade in September. It really is a fantastic place to meet and mix with bed industry colleagues. For anyone in the bed market, it’s an event not to be missed!”

Dine and celebrate
The NBF Bed Show Gala Dinner and Awards night will once again be held on the Tuesday evening of the show, hosted by author, journalist and news broadcaster, Jeremy Vine. For the fourth year running there will be Best in Class Awards, with five categories on offer: Bed Manufacturer of the Year (won by Burgess Beds in 2013); Bed Components Supplier of the Year (Gateway Systems); Multiple Bed Retailer of the year (Bensons for Beds); Independent Bed Retailer of the Year (Retford-based The Bed Chambers) and Bed E-Tailer of the Year (Archers Sleepcentre).
