TradeZone, the ordering system on PWS’ website, is receiving record sales growth from increasing numbers of customers placing their orders online.

The wesbite – www.pws.co.uk – is first and foremost a comprehensive online directory where customers can browse the complete portfolio of PWS’ 8000 plus products. As well as offering an easy and quick link to ordering, the site contains a wealth of product information, including fitting instructions and technical information, plus it can recommend alternatives to products customers may not have bought for years, without appreciating what else is available.

“Much of the programming for the site has been done in-house and this investment is starting to pay off as we’ve noticed significant growth in traffic to the website in the last 12 months,” says Andrew Langford, PWS’ marketing manager.

“Online sales have also increased dramatically in the same period, which is down to customers liking and benefiting from the flexibility of ordering in real time and at any time of day that suits them, coupled with other features such as the ease of finding products. Customers can also place their order directly from a quote in the EQ software which is another great advantage.”

Most importantly, the site’s design is delivering exactly what customers are looking for, both for browsing and to place orders, something which Philip Yarker of the Winchmore Studio near York agrees with. “We place virtually all our business with PWS, via their TradeZone ordering system, as it’s such an invaluable ordering tool. It not only provides an exact value of the order, so you can keep track of costs, but also has a useful search facility for technical specifications and new products. You can confirm instantly that products are in stock and in the unlikely event of a shortfall it intuitively suggests alternatives that are available. I can see why the site is doing so well.”
