The British Contract Furnishing Association (BCFA) has announced the appointment of Jeremy Stein as its new Managing Director.

With over 20 years’ experience in marketing and commercial leadership in the membership and publishing sectors, Jeremy most recently held the position of Director of Services and Development at DACS (Design & Artists Copyright Society), where he represented over 90,000 artists, photographers, designers and illustrators worldwide. Prior to this, he was Marketing Director for three leading UK publishing houses.

Jeremy has extensive experience in developing needs-based member services; delivering strong and sustained membership growth during his years at DACS. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing; the only government-approved institute for the professional development of direct and digital marketers. Already active and renowned in the membership sector, Jeremy regularly speaks at industry conferences and participates in workshops.

Commenting on the appointment, Milan Cvetkovic, BCFA chairman said: “We are delighted Jeremy is joining the BCFA. Jeremy brings with him proven skills in digital media and marketing and developing membership organisations and we are confident he will continue the excellent work of Colin Watson who left in June. We see great opportunity to grow and expand our range of services and Jeremy’s extensive service development experience will be invaluable in this.”

Jeremy Stein commented; “I’m delighted to be joining the BCFA at such an important time for the organisation and sector and am looking forward to working with such a committed and experienced team. At the BCFA we offer an incredible breadth of knowledge, services and events, but we do need to assess how we can provide new and greater value and services of benefit to both our existing and prospective members.”

Jeremy replaces Colin Watson, who held the role from 2007 and left in June 2015 to return to consulting.
