Cookstown-based kitchen and bedroom manufacturer BA Components will celebrate 25 years in business with a glittering awards night this November, and the shortlist has now been unveiled.

The event will mark the quarter-century milestone while celebrating the company’s exponential growth in recent years resulting in an annual turnover of £30 million and an export portfolio spanning 23 countries worldwide.

With a theme of ‘Rewarding Creativity, Honouring Loyalty and Acknowledging Commitment’, entries for eight categories have been flooding in since July, and this week the judging panel – a who’s who from the kitchen and bathroom industry alongside experts in digital media, design and business – got together to tackle the arduous job of determining the shortlist.

The winners will be announced at the black tie gala dinner, to be hosted by well known Northern Irish comedian William Caulfield, on Thursday 19th November, at the Glenavon House Hotel, Cookstown.

BA Components was established in 1990 by Cookstown twins Brian and Kieran McCracken. Awarded extensively for their entrepreneurial nature, within ten years BA Components had built its own fully-contained factory at Derryloran Industrial Estate.

Tackling the recession head-on, in 2009, the company took over ailing BLP in Doncaster establishing BA Components’ second factory and boosting the company’s manufacturing capacity. Currently, the BA staff-count sits at 258 and continues to grow.

Grahame Morrison, editor of www.kb-network.co.uk and chairman of the judging panel, says: “Today has been both challenging and incredibly exciting, as we debated and disputed over each category. But we all agree that the awards night will be an unforgettable evening, spent with the people that have brought us to now. It’s going to be a 25-year whirlwind packed into one fantastic evening.”

Sales and marketing director for BA Components, David Caulfield, says: “This event is to honour Brian and Kieran McCracken, BA staff - past and present, the amazing BA dealer network and all who have contributed so much to our journey and shared in our success over the last twenty-five years. It promises to be a night of celebration, excitement, a few surprises and a whole lot of Irish craic, and is definitely one not to be missed.”

The awards and gala night will serve as a fitting tribute to BA’s extensively decorated journey to date while celebrating all those who have supported the McCracken brothers along with the way – staff, customers and suppliers. It follows an exclusive red carpet tour of the Cookstown factory earlier that day.
