At House of Lords recently, Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) announced that Heico Fasteners UK Ltd have been awarded the FIRA Gold Product Certification for their new non-rust range of Blacquer Zig-Zag Springs.

Only after the most rigorous assessment of a product is the FIRA Gold Certification awarded and Heico become the first distributor in the UK to receive this prestigious accolade with their new range of furniture springs that use the science of nano technology to produce a fully coated spring that achieves unrivalled corrosion resistance.

Dave Read, general manager at Heico, said after the lavish awards ceremony in Central London: “We are proud to be the first distributor in the UK to achieve this prestigious award. This new product is unique and offers superior corrosion resistance that cannot be matched by any other springs available in the UK furniture industry and we believe it is a real game changer in the market.”

Dave continues: “Our new ‘Blacquer’ springs use a unique environmentally friendly coating that is fully elastic, meaning no reduction in corrosion protection even under the strain of continuous use, and with no oily residue the springs are far cleaner to use in production than existing alternatives, adding real benefits for our customers.”

Phil Reynolds, general manager for FIRA International, adds: “We are pleased to be able to issue FIRA Gold Product Certification to Heico Fasteners. By following strict processes, that combines regular audit testing, FIRA Gold provides ongoing reassurance to both Heico’s customers and their clients.”
