Multi award-winning winning timber window and door manufacturer Gowercroft Joinery has appointed a new Commercial Sales Manager to spearhead its business-to-business sales growth nationwide.

With a proven track record in UK and international sales, Joe Grimley brings over seven years of commercial experience in the construction industry.  Formerly commercial sales manager at a Yorkshire based regional joinery company, he has held key positions as business development manager at a national Timber and Doors manufacturer as well as Regional operations manager at a major chain of builders merchants.

In his new role, Joe will be heading up the new commercial division at Gowercroft Joinery, which has been set up to develop stronger professional relationships with architectural practices, main contractors and small to medium sized builders across the country.

The new division will serve the company’s growing portfolio of commercial clients, providing expert advice and technical support throughout the entire process from the initial site survey, design and product specification and quotation through to delivery and after sales service.

Joe Grimley commented: “I am thrilled to be joining Gowercroft.  The company really is a dynamic force within the windows and doors market, pushing boundaries and redefining the marketplace with its genuinely innovative range of products.

“As I have a great passion for timber windows and doors, it is exciting to be part of a company that is also so committed to customer service and delivering on the promises it makes. I am looking forward to working very closely with our existing valued customers as well as meeting many potential new ones.”

Andrew Madge, managing director of Gowercroft Joinery said: “We head hunted Joe for his excellent industry experience, commercial skills and enthusiasm for driving new business sales – we believe he will be a great asset and an important part of our highly motivated team.

“As one of the fastest growing companies in the UK timber window and door industry, we have sought to consolidate our market leadership by developing pioneering new products, extending our manufacturing capability and recruiting the right calibre of staff to deliver our ambitious plans.”

As part of its growth strategy, the company has recently invested £350,000 in state-of-the-art machinery and software in order to streamline its processes and achieve the efficiencies required to keep pace with increasing sales.

Renowned for its high quality and innovation, Gowercroft is also investing in an ongoing programme of new product development. The company’s pioneering Heritage range, developed for the listed property and conservation market, has already achieved great acclaim, winning the ‘Best Windows’ category of the 2017 Build It Awards.

Gowercroft has also won the 2019 British Woodworking Federation’s (BWF) ‘Woodworking Project of the Year’ award for its part in the restoration of Templeton House, Sir Winston Churchill’s former home in Roehampton.
