Interzum 2023 and Ligna are, at the time of writing fully confirmed to return in their natural manner for first time since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. Interzum and Ligna returns to the fold in May next year creating the international platform we all look forward to see what’s new in machinery, technology and materials and fittings.
From 9-12th May 2023, interzum returns with fresh momentum and a new slogan: “shaping the change”. What this means in practice is that the event will place even greater emphasis on key issues of the future, such as sustainability, climate protection and resource efficiency, in order to drive forward the conversation about these matters.
With “neo-ecology” as the overarching central theme, the leading international trade fair for furniture production and interior design is establishing a new focus and drawing attention to its future-oriented innovative strength. After the digital interzum @home edition in 2021, the industry event will finally take place again as a live experience in Cologne’s exhibition halls next year.
Despite a series of extraordinary challenges, including rising energy prices, material shortages and economic uncertainties in many markets, the woodworking and wood processing industry is in good spirits some six months before the greatest woodworking machinery and equipment show on earth – Ligna.
Around two-thirds of the event’s long-standing exhibitors have already confirmed their participation as they convene in Hannover.
“This positive trend underscores the importance of Ligna for the woodworking community as a key networking hub and platform for development and innovation,” commented Dr Bernhard Dirr, MD of the VDMA Woodworking Machinery Association, referring to the high level of registrations. “After four years, the industry needs this opportunity for face-to-face contact in Hanover. It is all the more gratifying that all market leaders have already made their decision to exhibit at Ligna 2023 and will be unveiling innovations at the event,” he continued.”
Ligna’s appeal will be enhanced by digital elements designed to increase the event’s reach – before, during and after the show. Get ready for Ligna, in Hanover from May 15-19th, the world’s leading trade fair with a global range of tools, machinery and equipment for woodworking and wood processing.
