From doors and frontals to customer-driven contract manufacturing, BA Components’ flexible capability serves designers and manufacturers in the UK and further afield

Established in 1990, BA Components has over the years consistently grown its business and broadened the product offering to better service the whole of the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom (KBB) furniture marketplace.

From the beginnings as a door and frontal manufacturer this growth has seen the addition of components, profiles, carcassing and flat lamination. BA also operates a customer-led contract service (OEM) from its Doncaster factory, producing to customers’ original specification throughout the world, offering a design and development service in partnership with individual clients and to specific requirements.

BA currently works with customers across a broad market base with ongoing contracts in the following areas: kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture manufacturers and industry distributors, shopfitters, exhibition stand builders, developers and retail fit-out manufacturers.

From laminated sheet material, to doors and frontals, five-piece, membrane pressed and acrylic-edged along with furniture components which can be drilled, dowelled, end-capped and wrapped, to profiles and mouldings in veneers, papers or foils. BA Components’ wide range of product offering means customers are sure to find the solution required, when it’s needed – and at a price that is competitive and fair.

Standard sheet sizes for acrylic lamination are 3050 x1220mm and 2440 x1220mm and for other face finishes, BA can also add 3660 x1220mm with a finished board thickness of 3mm up to 60mm using various core materials, depending on the specific intended use for the finished sheets. Currently BA is producing sheets using the following fibreboard, MDF, HDF, chipboard composite board, plasterboard, metal, MR board and FR board.

BA Components offers a comprehensive range of stock colours with a full range of gloss, fingerprint-free matt, woodgrain, textured, mirror and metallic. Colour matching is possible for volume work and BA Components can provide an edging service for finished products to individual specification in a matching edge on its three top-of-the-range edgebanding machines. Edged using PUR (Poly Urethane Reactive) glue, the BA product has a much higher heat and moisture resistance than those produced using normal hot melt glues.

Catering from small quantities from 250 right up to many thousands, BA Components can produce what’s required with a fast turnaround, delivering worldwide or direct to the manufacturer for own processing.
