From clever understairs storage to hidden-away kitchen larders, or making the best use of space in a wardrobe, drawers play a key role in solving modern-day storage challenges.

Häfele, among the UK’s largest distributors of furniture fittings to the KBB market, is renowned for its drawer offering. In particular, its Matrix range is recognised for its versatility, offering universal style and functionality as well as easy installation for installers. The good news for the industry is that the range is expanding further.

Matrix S Slim

A double-walled, premium drawer most suited to kitchens and bedrooms, the Matrix S Slim balances a high-end finish with the ability to maximise space, with 13mm drawer sides. The system can accommodate 18mm drawer bases and back panels to ensure smooth integration into cabinets of various styles, leaving design choices unrestricted.

It features all the usual benefits you’d expect from a Matrix drawer, including soft close runners for longevity; a 35kg load bearing on full extension, robust zinc-plated under-mounted runners; hassle-free height and side adjustment, and Häfele’s industry-leading 25-year warranty.

In a sleek black finish, it taps into darker aesthetics that are dominating design trends, with three heights and five depths on offer to suit various applications. All the components for Matrix S Slim – which have been designed with precision to maximise storage space – are delivered together in one box, simplifying assembly and reducing labour time. Installers need to simply use their own drawer base and back.

Matrix Single

An ultra slim, lightweight yet durable drawer system suitable for a wide range of applications, the Matrix Single has just as much purpose in kitchen cabinets and bedrooms as it does office desks and motorhomes – and is underpinned by a reduced price point.

While its slim design provides maximum internal storage space – particularly useful to those working in compact living spaces – its variety of sizes and ability to partner with any undermount runner is what will truly appeal to joiners and manufacturers.

Matrix Single is available in three height options – 80, 120 and 150mm – and drawer lengths range from 300 to 550mm to ensure compatibility with various cabinet dimensions. They are also crafted to accommodate base panels ranging from 7 to 18mm and are compatible with any single and full extension undermount runners, offering flexible design and functionality in line with customer requirements. Installation is simplified with a choice of plug-in or clip fixing methods, streamlining the assembly process.

Once again fulfilling its ongoing promise to innovate in line with demand, these latest additions to Häfele’s Matrix range look set to be just as in demand as all those that have come before. To find out more, customers should contact their Häfele Area Sales Manager.
