SCM sanders at Daltons Wadkin

Workshops of all sizes are moving from manual sanding to compact, configurable wide belt solutions that improve surface quality and operator safety. SCM’s DMC SD range shows how modern sanding has evolved — balancing footprint, flexibility and finish without the need for specialist operators.

For smaller workshops, the SD10 offers simple set-up and consistent results on solid timber and veneered panels. The SD30 adds width and configuration options that make sense for mixed-batch work and repeatable programmes. The SD60, meanwhile, is built for higher volume throughput and versatility, accommodating multiple units and finishing options.

Reliability is key: steady belt tracking, intuitive controls and effective cleaning systems ensure consistent results and longer belt life.

Wide belt sanders also offer improvement for operator health. Unlike hand sanding, wide belt sanders incorporate multiple extraction points that capture dust at source inside the machine and, when paired with correctly specified LEV, dramatically reduce airborne particles in the workspace.

As a main SCM dealer, Daltons Wadkin offers viewing and demonstration across a wide range of sanders, including the SD10, SD30 and SD60 models.
