With the tagline: ‘Where innovation meets fascination’, Homag invites visitors to its 10,000 sq m at-home event in Shopfloch, Germany from 23rd-26th September.

Homag will be showing solutions for the woodworking shop of the future from its Ambition range, while for its industrial customer base there will be high-tech, networked batch-size-one plants for the furniture and structural element manufacturing industry being demonstrated live – complete with an impressive range of features in different performance categories.

The focus will also be on surface processing – both for workpiece surfaces and edges. Also featured will be everything to do with the subject of zero joints – from airTec to laserTec in different performance categories, including the right finish processing operations.

And for all those who attach particular importance to high-quality surfaces, there will be a whole range of technologies on show, from versatile sanding possibilities from Bütfering and surface lamination technology with the single-sided Homag FKF 200 laminating machine to the reacTec technique. For profile wrapping specialists, Friz will be showing a reacTec technique and wrapping machine combination.

Producers working with solid wood will also not be disappointed at this year’s Homag Treff: Flexible CNC machines and automation solutions across every performance category will be live in action.

There will also be a special highlight for all those interested in structural element production: a totally new type of door plant for batch size one production which is currently in the construction stage prior to delivery to a renowned door manufacturer is on show to visitors.

In the field of machine-specific programming, Homag will be showing the culmination of many years of strategic product development in the form of woodWOP 7.

Alongside a range of new functions, a new optional CAM plug-in in particular opens up scope for a fully innovative method of trimming path programming: while the trimming tool used to be programmed by means of contour lines, today a surface can be selected using the CAM plugin, and the software calculates the paths automatically – from three-axis processing through to interpolating five-axis processing.

For all those who attach importance to simple, standardised and efficient machine operation, almost all machines at this year’s Treff are equipped with powerTouch, the new dimension in machine operation and control from the Homag Group. The technology was presented for the very first time by the Homag Group at Ligna. This year’s Treff offers the ideal opportunity to gather information on first experiences with the system directly from the industry.
