Biesse has booked one of the largest machinery stands at the W14 exhibition in a move which continues the huge growth of the event this year. Joining the key machinery manufacturers such as Homag, SCM, RW and Felder, Biesse’s presence on the floor plan further extends the value for W14 visitors this year.

W14 exhibition director, Angela McGowan, comments: “The industry will welcome this news of Biesse’s decision to resume exhibiting in the UK and we are delighted to see them at W14. This show has an unprecedented range of exhibitors across machinery, materials and components – in recent months however it’s become evident that W14 is an expression of new confidence in the industry.”

Biesse’s Chris Ebbage had an early message to W14 visitors: “With our continued growth and subsequent expansion of our sales team to better cover the owner-operator sector of the market, we feel the time is right to again participate in W14.

“The show, coupled with the visitor profile, is a great platform for us to meet existing and potential new customers who are looking for a different supplier model. Our emphasis will be focused on owner-operator businesses and SMEs, as we have honed our service and commercial offering to provide great security to this sector of the market,” says Chris.

“We will be showing the latest technological advances available from the group that makes a huge difference to small companies and really allows them to compete on equal terms with the larger manufacturers in terms of production efficiencies and manufacturing methodologies.

“Couple this with our Total Care five year warranty, service and finance package and customers will see why so many new companies are joining the Biesse family.

“We look forward to meeting visitors at the show for friendly, informal discussions and to show what we can do to help you realise customers’ ambitions.”

Further key brand sign-ups for the autumn NEC event include Quin Global, the international adhesives giant. Quin’s prominent presence at W14 with the Tensor products brings a further dimension as another market leader appears on the W14 floor plan. Angela McGowan says: “Adhesives have been an under-represented area at the show for some time and the fact that a world-leading brand such as Quin Global come now to meet and show to the UK marketplace says good things about prospects for manufacturers in the UK.”

Global names new to W14 continue with the positioning of AkzoNobel amongst W14 exhibitors. AkzoNobel Wood Finishes and Adhesives is a globally recognised supplier of industrial wood coatings supplying the leading manufacturers of wall cladding, furniture, carpets and wood for outdoor use, such as windows and doors.

Beside the complete coating range, its customers benefit from market-leading wood adhesives and resin products which can preferably be used as an adhesive system for wood composites and laminates. Choosing from a wide range of products from several European manufacturing sites, AkzoNobel Wood Finishes and Adhesives claims an ability to meet all market needs. AkzoNobel illustrates an important desire to engage face to face with the UK market at W14.

Siro, USA-based components suppliers, is also to be a new face at W14. Joining a large influx of significant components companies including Blum, Siro has a large W14 presence to show an equally impressive range to UK manufacturers.
Another new face at W14 will be Italian tooling specialist BSP. Another sign that international suppliers see the UK market as full of promise.

“It would seem that this is a great time to be a UK joinery and furniture manufacturer,” says Angela. “Our job as organisers of the national exhibition is to provide a shop window for the world’s best. W14 will most certainly do that and we look forward to welcoming UK manufacturers ready to invigorate their businesses and seize the undoubted opportunities which now exist in the market.”

In conclusion, Angela says: “It is free to register for all trade visitors to W14 – and throughout July, August and September, visitors will also gain free entry to a prize draw to win a 32Gb iPad.

“Please refer to the exhibition website and sign up for fast-track entry on the day to what is looking very much like the show of the century for our industry.”
