The UK Structural Insulated Panel Association (UKSIPS) has unveiled a code of practice, signed off by the UKSIPS technical committee, and it is now available for all those involved in manufacturing and specifying the structural insulated panels (SIPS).

SIPS is one of the leading ways to construct energy efficient, cost-effective and sustainable buildings. At a time when the industry has seen a sharp increase in demand, the UKSIPS code of practice has been designed as a quick reference point to help everyone involved in the process understand the SIP technology better.

This document includes a handy summary of all the six special technical bulletins – that have been published in conjunction with TRADA – which are designed to underpin the code of practice, and provide more in depth information and detailing. These Bulletins can be downloaded here or from the UKSIPS website.
