Resulting from a recent agreement between Daltons Wadkin and Italian multi-rip saw manufacturer CML, the first machine is due to arrive at the company’s Nottingham showrooms in early April and will be featured and demonstrated at the Daltons Wadkin open days scheduled for 29th April to 2nd May.

CML Engineering srl manufacture a wide range of multi-rip saws from the basic J250 for the smaller workshop to moving blade machines and double spindle edgers with capacities of up to 1200mm board width and 250mm depth of cut. The model to be featured in the Daltons Wadkin open days is the J350R which although competitively priced, incorporates movable saws and will be demonstrated throughout the open day period.

CML is a specialist in multi rip equipment and since 1969 has been exporting its machines throughout the world. The company also offers automatic materials handling and sawing machines bespoke to customers’ individual requirements plus infeed and outfeed systems designed to increase throughput and reduce operator fatigue.

A second multi-rip machine is shortly to be despatched from Italy and is destined for Masons Timber Products – coincidentally, also in Nottingham. This is a model SCA450 3RT500 incorporating three moving blades for dealing with both cut edge and uneven edge timber. A high performance installation, the saw is part of a major production line with automatic throughfeed. Masons Timber, now part of the Richard Burbidge Group, is a high profile producer of a wide range of timber home improvement products.
