Joining the May Design Series' 400 strong exhibitor line-up will be Egger, which has announced that it will be extending its market-leading Zoom Collection with the next generation in decors and textures. May 2014 sees Egger launch 23 new decors and six completely new textures in the Zoom laminate and melamine board range, which will be on display at May Design Series. The latest update of decors includes synchronised pore surfaces - where grain and texture are aligned - authentic and striking wood reproductions as well as soft-matt finishes and an industrial style ceramic look. Egger will be showcasing its collections from its show stopping-truck, which will be parked inside the exhibition hall and form the basis of the stand.
Armac Martin will be adding to its ranges of handles and knobs for kitchen and bathroom furniture at May Design Series. For one, the popular Corona range has been extended to include two sizes of bar handle to compliment the three sizes of knob already in the range, all of which will be available in all standard finishes. Armac Martin will also be launching several brand new collections at the event, including Bromford – a collection comprised of a drop handle, a pull handle and a drawer knob featuring angular, clean lines for an elegant finish. Designers found inspiration for the range from the iconic Bromford Bridge just outside of Birmingham, and the products suit both the modern kitchen and also high-end furniture production. Other additions include the Lincoln, Quadrille and Longbridge ranges.
Salice will be exhibiting its range of furniture fittings for kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms at the show. Products on show will include the Slider S20 two-door coplanar sliding system, famed for its reliablitiy, ergonomic advantages and aesthetically pleasing design. Slider S20 is ideal for use in kitchen cabinets, sideboards and small wall cabinets up to 20kg in weight. SALICE will also be displaying Eclipse, a pocket door system featuring an assisted soft-close door return mechanism as well as a door opening safety device, and Lapis, a new hinge system offering soft closing action that is available in 12 finishes, and is suitable for use in any type of furniture.
Formani UK will be unveiling a host of door, window and cabinet hardware solutions at May Design Series, including two highly anticipated, as yet undisclosed ‘mystery ranges’ which will be given their world premier at the London event. In addition, shown for the very first time in the UK will be two collaborative ranges of door, window, cabinet and hardware accessories designed by Piet Boon, renowned Dutch designer – ONE by Piet Boon and TWO by Piet Boon. In addition, Formani will be unveilling a collection designed by Royal College of Art’s Head of Design Products, Tord Boontje. The collection, named Fold, is made up of stainless steel door and window fittings, and its revolutionary lever handle design recently won a prestigious RedDot Design Award.
Other names taking part in May Design Series this year include Blum UK, ArtiCAD and Dassault Systems to name but a few.
