Leicestershire-based Advanced Machinery Services (AMS) has announced the launch of a new range of vertical panel saws that will premiere at the W14 exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham this October. AMS says the new saws, designed specifically for the entry-level customer, are European engineered and manufactured to offer both quality and low price.

AMS director, Steve Foster, explains: “The market for sizing large panels continues to grow apace, and for some time now, we’ve been looking for a high quality, value-for-money brand of vertical panel saws to distribute in the UK.

“To carry out this type of panel sizing efficiently requires a reliable, accurate saw that can consistently do the job day in, day out. It needs to be a no-nonsense product that has a small footprint and with our new Primus brand of vertical panel saws, we’re confident we’ve found the perfect fit. The models we’re importing from Europe come with a scoring saw and LED displays as standard, so they are well specified.”

The first model available in the UK will feature an automatic movable table capable of cutting panels 4100 x 2100mm. Panels can be cut in the vertical or horizontal and the machine has a digital visualiser for the perfect adjustment of cuts. Despite the low price, it is a very well-engineered product featuring a completely welded frame. The panel support table has PVC-profiled listels that can be moved automatically to avoid contact with the circular blade in horizontal cuts.

AMS has invested heavily to ensure the launch of this new product range is a success. The new Primus vertical panel saws will be fully supported with spares and service via the well-established AMS network throughout the UK. The company will hold stocks of main spares at its Leicestershire facility with most other spares being available within 48 hours from the manufacturer in Europe.

“We’re really excited with this new addition to our portfolio,” enthuses Steve, “The saws are designed and manufactured in Europe by a specialist vertical panel saw company with a strong reputation.

“There is no doubt as to the performance of the product. The really impressive part, however, is the price. People just can’t believe it when we tell them how low the investment required is to buy one.

Visitors to our stand 8C355 at W14, NEC Birmingham will be able to see the Primus saws in the flesh, so to speak, and with the interest we’ve had already we are confident we have a winner on our hands,” concludes Steve.
