On its thirtieth year in business, edging and veneer specialist Merenda is looking to further build its reputation as the only UK- and Ireland-based manufacturer of FSC-certified wood veneer edges, rolled board and flexible wrapping veneer at this year’s W14 exhibition being held at the NEC from 5-8th October.

With efficiency and customer service at its core, Merenda understands that meeting industry expectations in this post-recession era requires manufacturing versatility and lean excellence in all areas of the business.

Since its very successful outing at the W12 exhibition, Merenda has forged new supply partnerships and will be exhibiting various wood veneer component products in real, dyed and reconstituted veneers at W14. These products form part of the new intelligent veneer decors which Merenda is manufacturing for its growing customer base.

The company will be launching its new brand at the show which is centred around knowledge, expertise and traditional family roots.

For Irish visitors, Merenda has an extensive range of melamine, PVC and ABS edges available. As official Irish agent for our manufacturing partners – Surteco, Proadec and Rehau – if visitors have particular edging requirements, just visit the stand, the company will arrange specific meetings with its supply partners – all of whom are exhibiting at W14.

Merenda managing director, Ronan Haslette, says: “Merenda consistently grows its business in the UK and Ireland following its involvement in the W shows in the NEC every second October. It is a critical piece of infrastructure for the UK and Ireland furniture industry and so a key date in the diary for us. Merenda is delighted to be exhibiting again in 2014 and welcoming all its customers to stand 6A245.”

If veneer component requirements are pressurising a company’s productivity, labour costs, wastage levels and manufacturing lead times, Merenda says it can help by manufacturing a solution for specific business needs. Merenda has been a tried and trusted supplier of FSC veneer edgings and wrapping veneer to the UK market for 25 years.

At 11am on the opening day of the show, Merenda is extending an open invitation to visitors to join in the birthday celebrations whilst unveiling its new brand – and to learn more about Merenda’s world of veneers.
