Have you booked your free ticket to W16 yet? In 30 days time, the NEC will open its door once again to the UK’s only woodworking machinery and materials show, W16. The long-standing exhibition will take place from the 2nd-5th October and will offer you an exclusive opportunity to see new machinery and prototypes in action for the very first time.

The bi-annual event will boast over 11,000 square metres of stand space, include more than 200 of the biggest industry names from the UK and abroad and feature three brand new interactive zones, specifically designed to aid industry professionals and reward talent.

The Skills for Excellence Zone: Whether you’re looking for a career in the furniture industry or looking at ways to enhance your existing business, the Best Practice Zone is here to help. Working with The British Woodworking Federation, savvy career advisers, specialist recruitment agencies and business gurus will be on hand to answer questions and offer sound advice.

The W Competition: Four talented apprenticeship finalists from around the country will take part in a four-day competition that will see them create a unique piece of furniture. The W Challenge, which will take place live at the show, will be run by training experts, Didac and supported by manufacturing giants, Felder and AMS Machinery. The winner of the competition will be awarded with a prize at the end of the exhibition.

The Elements of Innovation Zone sponsored by Ney: The dedicated Innovation Zone offers you an opportunity to see the most ground-breaking products and design concepts to enter the industry. Open to all exhibitors, a winning product will be judged in advance by a panel of industry experts.

The four-day exhibition will also see W16’s sister exhibition and furniture components show, Elements, make its debut in the exhibition world. Open to W16 visitors, the co-located exhibition will showcase the very latest in décors, edgings, decorative hardware and materials for furniture designers, architects and shop fitters.
