The global leader of solid wood processing for machinery and systems has been planning the expansion for the last 18 months. The doors opened recently and the first customer visits have now taken place.

Christened Weinig Expo UK – Innovation Centre for Manufacturing Excellence, the new centre has incorporated the adjacent unit into its existing unit giving the company over 16,000ft2 of space.
Malcolm continues: “The areas have been combined and undergone a complete renovation, reorganisation and refit over the last 6 months. We have created an arena of live, technologically advanced machinery as well as expanded our sales and service offices and have significant repair and workshop space, all of which reflect the market-leading and customer focused nature of the Weinig Group in the UK.”
More than 20 of the latest machines from Weinig, sister company Holz-Her, and Hofmann, who provide modern classical machines, feature in the main Expo space. Every manufacturing step in solid wood processing and panel processing is covered.
All the featured machines are packed with innovations, showcasing their comprehensive offering for all performance classes and sizes of operation. Notable highlights include Weinig’s Powermat 700 and 1500 performance moulders; Holz-Her’s Lumina edgebander equipped with the patented Glu Jet system and the LTRONIC NIR; the new vertical panel saw Sector 1255; Holz-Her’s Evolution 7405 best in class vertical CNC machining centre; market leading VarioRip 310 multi-rip saw and Opticut S50 cross cut saw; Hofmann combined planer/thicknesser and spindle moulder with end profiling table; two CNC routers, and Weinig’s ever popular solution for quick, easy and precise four-sided planing, the new Cube Plus.
