SCM recently took part in the Timber Expo, the British show dedicated to the wood construction industry at the NEC in Birmingham in what the company describes as ‘the best possible setting’ on a stand designed and manufactured by Carvalo Ltd

It was made entirely of wood using the six-axis Oikos CN machining centre, one of the finest SCM machines renowned for its superior precision, flexibility and, at the same time, ease of use processing structural beams and X-LAM/CLT wall panels.

Its a machine that has been most appreciated by Carvalo, which since its establishment in 2006 has successfully combined using timber with cutting-edge construction technologies that deliver a remarkable aesthetic impact.

SCM is proud to be this industry leader’s partner. Tommaso Martini, SCM Wood Carpentry Machining Centres BU Manager, thanked Scott Ballantine and Struan Haughton of Carvalo for the successful co-operation in setting up its stand at Timber Expo. In fact, the stand was nominated for the Best Stand Award of the UK Construction Week show.
