Royal warrant holder and award-winning luxury bedmaker, Hypnos, is celebrating its successful school tree planting programme, which has seen 1100 trees donated since November 2014 and will donate another 200 in 2019.

The scheme, which is designed to offset carbon and educate youngsters about nature and the environment, is part of the company’s ongoing sustainable actions and commitment to reducing its carbon footprint. The business is the first carbon neutral bed maker in the world, Having held this prestigious title for the last eight years and the business has offset a total of 6820 tonnes of CO2, including 736 tonnes in 2017/18 alone as part of these efforts.

The donation of these trees to local schools is an opportunity for the business to help youngsters learn about the importance of the environment, nature and the world around them. Working mainly with schools in the Princes Risborough and Castle Donnington areas, where the company has a significant presence, the bedmaker hopes the trees provide an interesting learning resource for the next generation of environmental ambassadors. Hypnos also hopes to encourage schools to make the most of their grounds by helping them to create interesting woodland habitats and increased biodiversity.
