The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity to the furnishing industry, is delighted to welcome research and technology organisation SATRA Technology as a corporate member.

Corporate membership provides opportunities for companies to support the Company’s charitable activities, get involved with civic events and network with other members. As a corporate member, SATRA has the opportunity to nominate up to three senior executives to become corporate liverymen.

Geoff Bindley, business area manager for the furniture and floor covering testing department, Jonny Worthington, senior team leader, and Phillip Weal, floor covering team leader, will be formally admitted as corporate liverymen at a ceremony at Furniture Makers’ Hall, London, when circumstances allow.

Commenting on joining the Furniture Makers, Geoff Bindley said: “We are really pleased to become a corporate member of The Furniture Makers’ Company.  SATRA Technology has been providing technical support to the furnishings sector for 25 years and, as we enter a new period of growth, it is an ideal time for us to give something back to the industry. We are looking forward to getting involved with the Company’s work, and in particular, the work of the East Anglian Regional Committee.”

David Woodward, Master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, said: “We are very pleased to welcome SATRA as a corporate member and specifically Geoff, Jonny and Phillip as corporate liverymen. Our corporate members are of the greatest importance to us. We are delighted that so many different companies from the wider furnishing industry understand the importance of joining as members and supporting our charitable endeavours. All members, individual or corporate, are invited to participate in the many events in the city livery calendar, which are great for networking, entertaining, as well as having fun.”
