Furniture industry colleagues from around the UK flocked to Northamptonshire in October to tee off at the National Golf Day, The Furniture Makers’ Company’s longest running charity event, helping raise £6000.

Almost 80 golfers took part in the tournament at the Northamptonshire County Golf Club – ranked in the UK’s top 100 courses – on Wednesday 19th October, making it one of the best attended National Golf Days in recent years.

The day started with breakfast which was followed by an 18-hole Stableford competition with a shotgun start. After a great day of play, competitors sat down to a two-course lunch, with the day culminating with a prize giving ceremony, charity auction and raffle.

The winners of the competition were:

  • Runner up, Paul Mott – KI
  • Nearest the Pin, Max Wood-Ives – Hypnos
  • Nearest the Pin, Rob Sawyer (Castelan)
  • Nearest the Pin, Paul Newell – Maguire Advisers Ltd
  • Longest Drive, Clayton Gore –Savoir Beds
