Blum to bring evolution and skill-building to Clerkenwell Design Week 2025

Experts in innovative furnishing solutions, Blum, will host different sessions centred around evolution and upskilling at this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week.

All taking place in the iconic 1 Dallington Street, in the heart of EC1, Blum will explore topics such as ageing and ergonomics as well as the future of the fitted kitchen.

Led by ergonomics and ageing expert, Amanda Hughes, and boosted by several expert guests across the three-day event, the brand will deliver insightful sessions whilst showcasing its innovative motion technologies and products alongside partners EGGER and Cleaf.

Blum’s schedule of workshops and talks for Clerkenwell Design Week 2025 are below:

TUESDAY 20th MAY

  • 09:00 to 10:00hrs: New beginnings by Blum. Start your day in a mindful way, exploring skills to get the best out of new experiences. With special guests Turning Point.
  • 11:00 to 11:45hrs: AI with a Human Touch - with Mike Bradley. AI inspiration and innovation for architects and interior designers in this fast moving and dynamic topic.
  • 13:00 to 14:00hrs: Age Explorer® Workshop. Join Blum UK's Ergonomics and Ageing expert Amanda Hughes in exploration of human ageing and its effect on the built environment.
  • 16:00 to 17:00hrs: Open fires to Air Fryers. Join Blum UK's Ergonomics and Ageing expert Amanda Hughes as she explores the evolution of fitted kitchen design.

WEDNESDAY 21st MAY

  • 09:00 to 10:00hrs: New beginnings by Blum. Start your day in a mindful way, exploring skills to get the best out of new experiences.  With special guests Turning Point.
  • 13:00 to 14:00hrs: The power of colour. How does the use of colour, tone & LRV’s support our built environment aspirations for ageing in place? Expert guest Jacqui Smith.
  • 14:00 to 15:00: Age Explorer® Workshop. Join Blum UK's Ergonomics and Ageing expert Amanda Hughes in exploration of human ageing and its effect on the built environment.

THURSDAY 22nd MAY

  • 11:00 to 12:00hrs: Age Explorer® Workshop. Join Blum UK's Ergonomics and Ageing expert Amanda Hughes in exploration of human ageing and its effect on the built environment.
  • 13:00 to 14:00hrs: Open fires to Air Fryers. Join Blum UK's Ergonomics and Ageing expert Amanda Hughes as she explores the evolution of fitted kitchen design.

In addition to its 1 Dallington Street shared showroom schedule, Blum will also be a sponsor of RIBA’s Clerkenwell Design Week walking tour, welcoming architects and designers through the doors of the space for refreshments and networking before a local tour of architecture.
