DENA AFS was founded in Abruzzo, Italy, in 1968 by Donato De Nardis and is now run by his two sons, Tommaso and Davide. In 2022, they continued their international expansion by opening a UK branch in Kent, directed by Phil Crispin and Karl Moore.
DENA’s core business is the production of industrial air-filtration equipment, including downdraft tables, painting booths, suction walls, baghouse filters, cartridge filters, oil-mist filters, cyclones, spark separators, pneumatic conveying systems, rotary filters, pocket filters, and more.
Each project begins with an on-site consultation to assess the client’s needs and recommend the most suitable solutions for their specific application. Once an order is placed, DENA’s six-person engineering team prepares the drawings for approval, after which production begins in its Italian manufacturing facility. Its in-house design capability allows full system customisation.
DENA serves industries from woodworking and metalworking to pharmaceuticals and waste management. “Customers are increasingly looking for high-quality, long-lasting products with automatic cleaning systems that reduce downtime and maintenance,” says Tarina Santacroce, export sales manager, DENA Italy. “DENA delivers exactly that, with robust, 3mm galvanised steel and a focus on quality, durability and efficiency.”
As regulations continue to tighten, DENA supports its customers by providing effective solutions that protect both the environment and workers’ health. For ATEX zones or explosive dust applications, it supplies certified, application-specific systems.
The DENA UK warehouse stocks several product lines, including its best-selling ATM baghouse filter and the ATC20 high-speed cartridge filter, ideal for CNC machines. The company also keeps multiple sizes of industrial downdraft tables, both manual and automatic-cleaning versions, ready for fast delivery. For projects requiring something unique, its Italian engineering team develops tailored solutions.
Case study
DENA’s customer, TMS Total Machining Solutions, faced serious dust-collection issues, causing floor dust buildup and unhealthy conditions. After an on-site inspection, DENA’s UK team recommended several ATM baghouse filters, resulting in a dramatic improvement in air quality and cleanliness.
TMS later purchased a downdraft table and a high-speed vacuum system for a CNC machine lacking adequate filtration, again noticing the quality, performance and reliability of DENA’s equipment.
With results like these, DENA aims to strengthen and expand its presence in the UK market, supported by strong customer satisfaction and word-of-mouth recommendations.
