Furniture Makers' Company has officially signed the Armed Forces Covenant, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the UK’s Armed Forces Community.
In a formal ceremony held on 7th May 2025, Brian Ahern, Immediate Past Master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, and Brigadier Neil Bellamy, Defence Attaché in Copenhagen, signed the covenant on behalf of the organisation and the Ministry of Defence.
By signing the covenant, we pledge to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant: recognising and honouring the dedication and sacrifice of service personnel – both regular and reservist – veterans, and military families. The Company acknowledges the invaluable contributions made by members of the Armed Forces to its organisation, the wider community, and the country.
This commitment marks an important step in strengthening ties between the defence community and the UK’s furniture and furnishings industry, ensuring that those who serve or have served are treated with fairness and respect in society.
