RENOLIT officially inaugurates new production site in Yingde, China

RENOLIT has officially inaugurated its new production site in Yingde, China, with a festive ceremony on 5th November 2025.

Chief Executive Officer Karsten Jänicke, Executive Board Member Sven Behrendt, General Manager of SMU Visual Communication Ralph Gut and Managing Director of the new site Raymond Lau were there to celebrate this milestone.

Andreas Lang, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and co-owner and Helmut Schädler, Member of the Supervisory Board were also in attendance. In his speech, Andreas Lang emphasised the importance of the new site, RENOLIT (Guangdong) New and Advanced Materials Co., LTD., for RENOLIT's growth strategy in China.

Sven Behrendt, member of the Executive Board, explained: "The new facility in Yingde is a response to the Chinese government's decision to restructure the Guangzhou (Huangpu) area industrially and only allow emission-free high-tech companies to settle there. The previous site in Guangzhou, therefore had to be relocated by 2024. We see the move as an opportunity and have therefore invested around 20 million euros in the state-of-the-art production facility."

"With the production site in Yingde, we are opening a new chapter in the success story of RENOLIT in China," said Raymond Lau, Managing Director of RENOLIT (Guangdong) New and Advanced Materials Co., LTD. ‘This investment is a sign of our confidence in the market and our employees. We look forward to supplying our customers with our high-quality products from here.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the new production site took place in July 2022. After only around a year of construction, the shell was completed and work on the interior began. Production has been running since 2024. With an annual production volume of currently 10,000 tonnes, which is to be increased to 12,000 tonnes, the production site in Yingde manufactures products for the Visual Communication, Protect and Healthcare Market Units.

These include films for the advertising industry, flexible window films and blood bag films. While the products of the Healthcare and Visual Communication divisions are primarily intended for the Chinese market, the products of the Protect Market Unit are mainly exported, particularly to America.

The new production site currently employs 168 people. With this state-of-the-art plant in Yingde, RENOLIT is underlining its long-term commitment to the Chinese market and reaffirming its ambition to continue growing even under challenging conditions, such as intense competitive pressure and price sensitivity in the market.
