TDUK partners with 2050 Materials

Timber Development UK (TDUK) has announced a new partnership with 2050 Materials to help expand the use and understanding of sustainability data from Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for timber products.

Through a two-way exchange of data, both organisations are now sharing insights and technical knowledge, providing our members with access to timber data through 2050 Materials’ platform, tools, and API integrations.

This collaboration will allow all TD UK members to leverage 2050 Materials’ capabilities, such as real-time access to EPDs, life cycle assessment (LCA) data, and embodied carbon insights. It will also help construction professionals make informed decisions by integrating timber-specific sustainability data into their projects seamlessly.

“2050 Materials is committed to empowering the construction industry with data-driven solutions that support sustainability goals – sharing our mission to provide transparent, high-quality sustainability data for building materials,” said Timber Development UK, sustainability director, Charlie Law.

“Partnering with organisations like Materials 2050 helps ensure that sustainability data is democratised and made accessible to everyone, from manufacturers to designers and contractors,  enabling informed decisions that drive the transition to a low-carbon built environment

“We view this partnership as an important step in broadening the use of timber in sustainable construction and promoting the flow of essential sustainability data across the sector.”

2050 Materials transforms product data and sustainability into a single platform, enabling the construction industry to make data-driven decisions at any project stage. You can find out more about them on their website.
