Initially, the business made and sold router cutters, and has evolved into the specialist in industrial wood-cutting tools that it is today.

In response to the current trend for profiling panels, Wealden has designed small and large Tip-Change Profiling Systems for use on CNC machines in a production environment. The systems feature toolholders which accept a range of easily-replaced TC cutter knives for producing ovolo, small bead and reed profiles.
Another new addition is the In-Frame door system – a fast and accurate production method which reduces wastage. The set of cutters creates an in-frame door and cock beaded frame from one piece of MDF on a 3-axis CNC machine.
Wealden’s new Pocket Tenon cutter is a four-flute replaceable TC tip cutter featuring up and down shear cutting knives to produce a first-class finish on the top edge, as well as a clean finish on the bottom of the cut. Ideal for pockets, tenons and anywhere that requires large surface area removal with a good quality finish.
The Dish Mould is a two-flute cutter with replaceable TC tips to produce dished mouldings. The TC tips have an up-shear configuration extending to the centre line of the cutter and the Swop-Tip® knives make this an economical choice when working with abrasive materials.
