The working space in a workshop is never enough to get through all of the orders and machining required, particularly in a highly flexible and varied market such as the current one. Therefore, SCM has developed a new planer moulder range with high quality components that is capable of being located and working in a small or confined space, but offering maximum ergonomics for the operator and providing a top quality finish for every type of timber machined.

The SCM model Profiset 60 is designed to be very sturdy with four, five or six spindles, with a universal spindle available at the outfeed with 240mm capacity. The new feed system using cardan joints and gearboxes is the technological heart of this machine providing higher productivity and an even better finish to the machined timber.

Distinctive features include pneumatic pressure on the 120mm diameter feed rollers and the inverter for continuous speed control, guaranteeing a powerful, efficient and linear feeding of timber. The T-Set rapid tool locking /unlocking device provides a maximum degree of safety with minimal effort utilising a gun and compressed air.

Equipped with a pre-straightening system through the reference engraver placed on the inferior planer spindle, and with a 2000mm infeed table length, it has perfect feeding thanks to the manual pump for table lubrication and to the inferior idle roller placed on the outfeed table – all standard features.

There is allso the possibility to preset the profiling on the top horizontal spindle (optional) while the vertical spindles allow a profiling capacity of 40mm and an axial adjustment of 40mm to manage more profiles.

The minmum/maximum working width (finished section) is 25/230mm and height (finished section) is 6/120mm. Length of spindles is 140mm (vertical), 250mm (horizontal) and 240mm (universal). Feed speed 5 to 25m/min with spindle speeds of 6000rpm.
