Colour trends tend to come and go year on year, but, as furniture manufacturers know, wood never goes out of style. Solid wood and veneers can be more costly than laminates and melamines, but the Feelwood range, from panel product expert Lawcris, bridges the gap as a popular alternative.

Convenient and cost-effective, the Feelwood range represents a new generation of incredibly realistic wood replicas so convincing that they are virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. Super-lightfast and incredibly durable, the Feelwood range requires no ongoing maintenance meaning it looks new for longer.

Offering a more affordable price-point than solid timber or veneer, manufacturer Egger’s closed loop production cycle means these boards don’t cost the earth in more ways than one. Through effective waste management and recycling, Egger saves on average 1.56million tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.

Using synchronised pore technology – a patented technique that uses cameras to match the intricate knots and lines of the woodgrain décor with the pressed texture below – Egger has created a range of beautiful melamine products that will lend elegance and authenticity to any design.

Available as single- or double-sided MFC, with some decors available as worktops and laminate, Feelwood features six woodgrain structures (also known as textures), intricately created by Egger’s inhouse creative designers.

22 stunning décors create a selection of woodgrains that range from rustic to contemporary. Warm oak decors with authentically deep knots and cracks sit alongside more contemporary, cooler woodgrains such as ash and larch.

Lawcris also offers matching edging for every board, in a variety of thicknesses that can be cut to bespoke widths with its popular edge-slitting service. For an extra touch of authenticity, Lawcris offers the impressive end-grain edging, giving the impression of sawn wood.

The Feelwood range is available from the Lawcris website.
