Classic woods and rare beauties
Oak veneer edgings constitute a significant part of the Ostermann range. There are almost 20 different variants available, of European and American origin, and with intricate finishes and colours. Besides classic European timber, the vast range comprises many extraordinary wood veneer edgings made of, e.g., zebrano, bamboo, olive or macassar.
Always on the edge: primer
A consistently high product quality is ensured through many years of cooperation with established European suppliers. All 1, 2 and 3mm thick wood veneer edgings are coated with a primer, which facilitates processing, improves the edging’s bond and reduces the amount of glue needed.
Which thickness do you prefer?
Many edgings are available in three different thicknesses, enabling you to perfectly adjust them to your surface veneer. 1mm edgings have two layers, 2mm edgings four, and 3mm edgings six individual layers of veneer. Thin veneer consists of a single layer of veneer and is strengthened by a nonwoven at the reverse side.
Pre-coatings and special widths
Ostermann wood veneer edgings can be processed with standard hotmelt adhesives on edgebanding machines, or manually with white glues. You can obtain edgings pre-coated with hotmelt adhesive or with an individual functional layer for processing with zero bondline technologies, upon request. If you need dimensions other than the standard widths of 24, 33 and 43 mm, Ostermann will cut the edgings to your desired widths.
