As a leading supplier of furniture, HPP wanted to move away from the polystyrene packaging it used to protect its doors, towards more sustainable alternatives.
Due to the size and weight of the doors, as a sustainable packaging design consultancy, Switch Packaging advised and designed moulded pulp corners as the alternative.
Pulp is a sustainable material that can be moulded around virtually anything, allowing for bespoke and extremely protective packaging. Specialising in pulp, Switch Packaging designed the pulp corners to outperform the previous polystyrene design and to protect the doors during transit – and even after multiple drops.
“The level of protection, as well as the sustainable brand message our pulp packaging generates for HPP, makes it the ideal packaging material for us,” says HPP’s purchasing department’s Vicky Down.
