The new TS 60 K plunge-cut saw cuts wood like a hot knife through butter and is safer and more versatile than ever before. Once again, Festool is setting new standards for plunge-cut saws. Thanks to the unique KickbackStop technology, the new saw minimises the risk of injury, protects the workpiece and makes work safer.

Moreover, the greater cutting depth of 60mm (e.g. for fire protection doors or solid wood) enables an unrivalled range of applications. Floor layers will also be pleased because the new TS 60 K can be connected to cross cutting guide rails. The latest generation of brushless EC-TEC motor makes the new plunge-cut saw robust, powerful and compact.

Festool has been well-known for its circular saws for many decades. In the early 1960s, Festool brought the world’s first portable circular saw with a guide rail onto the market. It then launched the first circular saw in the early 1980s. The German manufacturer was always raising the bar for saws with its new models. Once more, Festool will be way ahead with the launch of the new TS 60 K in October 2022.

Greater safety when sawing – thanks to the KickbackStop

“Our best plunge-cut saw is now even safer because our unique KickbackStop not only protects the workpiece, it even minimises the risk of injury,” says Simon Illing, application engineer and master joiner. “Our new TS 60 K is highly precise, safer and delivers excellent results,” he continues. In the event of a kickback, the KickbackStop is triggered by the saw blade jamming during sawing or plunge-cutting into the workpiece and stops the saw blade faster than the blink of an eye. A particularly practical feature is that once the KickbackStop has been triggered, the saw is ready for use straight away without replacements or additional costs.

Truly versatile

With the TS 60 K, Festool has created its most versatile plunge-cut saw and its 60 mm cutting depth and compact design enable users to achieve outstanding results. It is even possible to saw mitre cuts of 45° in solid panels of up to 40 mm – and the guide rail can also be used.

Pure precision with the parallel side fence

“The entire accessory system around the TS 60 K only really demonstrates its versatility in day-to-day use. What’s particularly great is that the new plunge-cut saw can be combined with all cross cutting guide rails,” Simon adds.

The KickbackStop reduces the risk of injury caused by kickback during sawing or plunge-cutting into the workpiece. Once the KickbackStop has been triggered, the saw is ready for use straight away without replacements or additional costs.

This makes it incredibly easy to make reproducible, precise and clean cross cuts following marks. Once again, Festool has considered many other details, such as easy saw blade changes, a splinter guard, an angle stop, a parallel side fence, precise depth adjustment with a double pointer and precision adjustment.

Robust and powerful

The statement “it saws like a hot knife through butter” is an excellent description of the new TS 60 K’s performance range. Its latest-generation brushless EC-TEC motor makes the saw virtually maintenance-free and powerful.

Perfect for those doing floor covering work

The maximum speed of 6800 revolutions per minute ensures ideal machining, an effortless feed rate and, as a result, the best cutting quality. This means that the new plunge-cut saw is robust and, in combination with the comprehensive saw system, sophisticated down to the very last detail. It can both make precise cuts in solid wood and efficiently cut large panels on top of stacks to size with ease and reduces user fatigue.

Exact cuts, even at an angle

Uncompromising performance

The new TS 60 K, like all Festool tools, is of course completely covered by Festool SERVICE, giving you peace of mind for your day-to-day work. This includes repair orders, warranty claims, protection against theft and spare part availability.

The new TS 60 K plunge-cut saw will be available at specialist retailers from October 2022.
