JORO Launches fabric collection for trade partners

Contemporary textiles brand JORO has released its latest collection of fabrics, “Jaipur Song”. Expanding upon the brand’s much-loved existing ranges of bedding, bathing and more, this collection marks the first time JORO fabrics will be available to purchase directly by selected trade partners and consumers.

Drawing on generations of expertise in crafting textiles, “Jaipur Song” began by looking to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, also known as India’s ‘pink’ city.  From this inspiration, five books of fabrics channel memories of technicolour palaces and impressions of bold, geometric forms, realised in strikingly tactile finishes and a diverse palette of shades, from muted hues to jewel tones.

Sahib Singh, CEO and co-founder of JORO said, “Fabric is a huge part of our heritage - our family history of textile production is part of why we founded JORO. The response to our early ranges of bedding, bathing and living textiles has been very encouraging, and has given us a platform to launch Jaipur Song - an extension of that heritage.”

The “Jaipur Song” collection, India’s heritage of textile production meets modern design, with intricate embroidery, digitally rendered prints and geometric jacquard on a series of fabrics that include linen, cotton and velvet. Across the range, fabrics are suitable for drapes, furniture and a wide range of personal projects.

Set to become the hero fabric of the 19 designs include Chand Boari, a geometric pattern inspired by the oldest surviving stepwells in India and released in plush velvet. Indore, a minimalist art deco print available in muted hues and suitable for upholstery, which pays homage to the last Maharaja of Indore and his love of modernist design. City Palace, a homage to Jaipur’s eponymous pink palace, embroidered on semi-translucent linen.

 The collection is available now.
