Simple, solid, flexible – with the T32, Otto Martin Maschinenbau presents a combined planer and thicknesser that has been specially developed for workshops with limited space. The T32 is the ideal compromise for those who do not want to compromise. In just a few seconds, the machine can be switched from planing to thickness planing mode – or vice versa. This ensures minimal set-up times and a smooth workflow, even in smaller businesses. Optionally, the machine tables can even be changed with the aid of an electric motor – for even more convenience and efficiency in daily use.
The operation of the T32 follows clear ergonomic principles: all controls are clearly arranged and easily accessible. The conveniently inclined control panel with digital display for the motorised height adjustment of the thicknessing table guarantees maximum user-friendliness and precise results. This allows dimensional changes to be made quickly and accurately – a decisive advantage in professional use.
The T32 also impresses across the board in terms of performance. The standard 5.5 kW motor provides sufficient power for all common applications, while an optional 7.5 kW motor offers reserves even for the most demanding planing work. The feed speed is 6 or 12 m/min as standard, but can also be infinitely variable between 5 and 20 m/min on request – perfectly matched to the respective material and the desired work progress.
The solid base of the machine is formed by the robust grey cast iron machine tables, which ensure maximum stability and precision. The powerful feed reliably transports the workpieces through the machine – on the inlet side via a steel spiral roller, on the outlet side via a rubberised roller. This results in first-class surfaces right from the start.
With the TERSA solid steel knife shaft with four knives, MARTIN offers a modern and maintenance-friendly solution even in the standard configuration. For the highest demands, the Xplane spiral knife shaft is available as an option, which impresses with its particularly quiet operating noise and excellent performance even with difficult woods.
