The accord range
The accord range, designed for processing both solid wood and panels, is expanding with two new models. accord 400, with the new “flexmatic pro” worktable featuring automatic positioning of pods and clamps, is available in preset configurations depending on the application to provide a solution that best suits the customer’s requirements.
accord 500 edge stands out from the rest of the range thanks to the H80C “Compact” edgebanding technology, which allows operations with various types of edges and glues and enables the automatic change of edge application type. These models will be unveiled at SCM’s Open House event at its Rimini Headquarters from 12-14th March.
Morbidelli x50 PRO-SPACE model
SCM has recently enhanced its nesting portfolio with the continued evolution of its Morbidelli x50 CNC Machining Centre, introducing the newest PROSPACE version — now equipped with a bumpers protection system — alongside the existing Morbidelli x50 PRO-SPEED model.
This solution has been specially conceived for companies approaching the nesting process for the first time. Despite its compact dimensions, Morbidelli x50 offers high performance in terms of efficiency, machining quality and predictive maintenance.
This specific model allows the operator to work in complete safety without compromising on production performance, as the bumpers protection system only stops the machine in the event of accidental contact with the operator.
At the software level, in addition to the new, intuitive and dynamic Maestro Lab CAD/CAM design system for both office and machine programming, Morbidelli x50 features a state-ofthe- art SCM Smart Cut algorithm. Zero downtime and waste, together with reduced energy consumption and material scrap, are the main advantages of this optimisation software, which is perfect even for the nesting cutting of the smallest workpieces.
Another key highlight is the SMS – Spoilboard Management System software – an advanced solution which, thanks to an exact calculation carried out on the machine, makes it easier for the operator to manage the spoilboard panel, signalling proactively when it needs to be rectified or replaced.
