As LIGNA 2025 fast approaches, anticipation is building across the woodworking and timber processing industries. Among this year’s standout exhibitors is WEINIG, proudly celebrating 120 years of innovation and 50 years of participation at LIGNA with its most ambitious showcase yet.
A long-time cornerstone of the solid wood and panel processing world, WEINIG returns to Hall 27 with a vast 5,000m² exhibit, showcasing over 45 machines, including numerous live demonstrations and product exclusives. Visitors can expect a dynamic focus on smart machinery, digital integration, sustainable production and advanced timber construction, offering a clear insight into the future of woodworking.
Smart automation meets high performance
A headline exhibit is the Powermat 3000, integrated with robotic automation and a vacuum destacking system. This high-speed moulder, equipped with WEINIG’s original PowerLock tooling and robotic tool-changing technology, demonstrates flexibility, precision, and speed, ideal for businesses tackling small batch production with demanding specifications.
WEINIG will also display its full range of moulders, from the compact Cube 3 planer for simple tasks to the versatile Powermat 700 and high-performance Powermat 1500.
Each machine is integrated with the intuitive Weinig Machine Control (WMC) system for seamless operation and process visibility.
Tooling, grinding, and digital mastery
Tooling takes centre stage with the R1000 CNC profile grinder and tool measuring station. Operated via Moulder Master software, users can manage the complete tooling process from CAD-driven design to grinding and quality assurance all through one integrated platform.
Batch Size 1 solutions and window manufacturing
The Conturex Vario L window component centre showcases WEINIG’s commitment to batch size 1 production.
Featuring automatic trolley loading and a large tool magazine, it enables long periods of unattended operation and just-in-time manufacturing – a true leap forward in lean production.
Optimised cutting and material prep
For rip optimisation, the VarioRip 310 will be in action, demonstrating precision cutting with dual moving blades and entry-level scanning. Alongside it, the FlexiRip shows its adaptability for various timber types, highlighting flexibility in material prep.
WEINIG’s OptiCut cross-cutting range will also be on display – including the OptiCut 450 and OptiCut S90 – delivering speed, precision, and yield optimisation, while reducing waste.
Panel processing and CNC solutions
The panel processing zone includes five edgebanders, CNC routers, and beam saws. The robot-loaded Epicon CNC router and the patented GluJet system, with ultra-fast glue changeovers and heat-up times are set to be major attractions.
Group innovation beyond Hall 27
Elsewhere, the WEINIG Group’s partners will also exhibit. H.I.T. Maschinenbau (Hall 25, Stand N25) will present custom solutions for sawmills and glulam construction, while Essetre (Hall 13, Stand C28) will reveal cutting-edge timber construction machines, blending Italian design with powerful performance.
