There can be few comparisons with the aesthetic appeal of natural woods and their propensity for communicating a sense of architectural and environmental awareness, reliability and strength. Many companies in the industrial woodworking, furniture and joinery production and panel processing industries have harnessed these strengths to create some of the most innovative work for many prestigious projects – many of which have relied on AXYZ CNC routers supplied by the Telford, Shropshire-based AAG.

Minster Joinery (Witney) in Oxfordshire employed an AXYZ 4000 series router to manufacture its renowned high-class furniture, finely detailed wooden cabinets and specialist joinery. A good example of the quality of this work was the elegant wooden staircase installed at a Grade 1 Arts & Crafts building in London, pictured below.

Stourbridge, West Midlands-based Porter & Woodman is a major consumer of plywood and medium-density fibreboard (MDF) and uses an AXYZ 4010 router to manufacture a wide range of specialist products for the high street retail sector.

Connaught Conservatory Roofs in Rotherham, meanwhile, made full use of an AXYZ 4000 series router to process plywood and OSB (Oriented Strand Board) materials, which were employed for the roof sections of the conservatory buildings the company supplies to the home improvement market.

Cardiff Theatrical Services employed an AXYZ 4010 router to build scenery, made predominantly from wood, for the Welsh National Opera as well as the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the BBC and the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London.

South Wales-based Craft Wales installed two AXYZ 4000 series routers to process the solid timber it employs in the manufacture of robust benches and oak signs installed at country parks and other rural locations, while the workshop facility at the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) installed an AXYZ 6010 router to process the plywood and polycarbonate sheet used for stage settings and scenic designs required for its many productions that hitherto had to be produced manually.
