With well over £500,000 invested in the last few months, specialist corrugated packaging manufacturer The Corrugated Case Co is looking to grow its turnover organically over the coming 12 months, buoyed by its recent placing on the shortlist for SME of the year in the UK Packaging Awards of the Year 2013.

The Corrugated Case Co took delivery of a 3.8m printer die-cutter, a 3.2m case sealer and a special short-run box maker to boost production capacity, further strengthening its position as one of the UK’s leading specialist packaging manufacturers for the transportation and storage of flat-pack furniture and kitchens.

The installation of what is reported to be the largest die-cutter of its type in the UK is proof-positive this dynamic company is continuing to prove its market reputation. Corrugated packaging is a fully recyclable material, is easy to handle and offers exceptional levels of product protection in transit.

Omega Kitchens was quick to praise the move. “For over 12 years now we have had a long and very successful trading relationship with The Corrugated Case Co and throughout that time they have progressed into becoming our major supplier of corrugated products. They have always been proactive by offering solutions and alternatives to remove expenditure from our packaging processes and remained constantly reliable and trustworthy as a supplier. The recent investments in additional machinery will only strengthen our relationship.”

Since the company’s founding back in 1996, it has always set itself apart from its competitors. “The business was founded with a zero order book,” recounts Mark Wilcockson, managing director. “We wanted to find a way of winning business, so we came up with the idea of offering a written guarantee of quality and service.

To this day, every single customer and prospective customer is given a certificate, a guarantee, that if a job is late, the invoice will be discounted to a pre-agreed level. There isn’t a single company in the UK that offers this written guarantee and to this day, it is something that is considered the life-blood of our business. Every single person at CCC knows what it is and this results in exceptionally high levels of care and attention from all of our staff and operatives.”
