The managing director of a Midlands joinery company has been so impressed with a wood waste heater, purchased from Wood Waste Technology, that he has recommended it to other woodworking companies, and two other businesses have already purchased one as a result.

Like many others, Scott Birkhead from Sinclair Construction in Derbyshire was concerned about the impact of ever-increasing bills on his business profit. Not only were rising energy prices making it more and more expensive to heat his 7000 sq ft premises and keep him and his employees warm, but disposing of the wood off-cuts generated from manufacture was also becoming increasingly costly.

Scott, who has run his own shopfitting and bespoke joinery business for the last 20 years, decided to investigate alternative heating and waste disposal options and came across Wood Waste Technology’s range of wood waste heaters. He liked the idea of saving money on heating and waste disposal costs, and also the fact that such a system would benefit the environment. After finding out more and having a site survey, Scott ordered a WT5 heater, which was then installed by Wood Waste Technology’s specialist team.

Everyone at Sinclair Construction is delighted with the wood waste heater. As Scott says: “It’s been an extremely positive experience to date. As the heater was fitted last year, we’ve had chance to experience the warmth it generates. It’s great that we no longer need to use the expensive gas heaters, so we’re already saving money.

“Our skip and waste disposal bills have reduced dramatically too. We’re looking forward to doing some calculations once we’ve had the heater a bit longer, to work out exactly how much money we’re saving.”

The MD of Wood Waste Technology, Kurt Cockroft says: “There’s no better example of a happy customer than one who goes out and recommends us to other businesses. We’re grateful to Scott for spreading the word, and are delighted that his business is already reaping the benefits of the new heater.”

Wood Waste Technology’s years of expertise in wood waste solutions have helped many companies reduce waste disposal and heating costs. As well as offering site survey, design, manufacture, installation and on-going maintenance for new units, the company also services all types of wood waste heaters, saying that it supplies genuine spares up to 60% cheaper than other suppliers.

In addition, Wood Waste Technology is the official UK distributor for Gross Apparatebau GmbH, a German manufacturer of dependable, precision-engineered shredders and briquetters, available in various sizes and specifications to suit all business applications.
