Established in 1990, J & C O’Meara has a wealth of experience and literally hundreds of installations throughout the UK.

Over the years, the company has supplied machinery and services to all corners of the woodworking industry, from the joiner starting out and manufacturing in his home workshop, to schools, colleges and universities, to the large national PLC and to all types of industry whether it be kitchen and bedroom furniture, shopfitters, high end furniture, internal fire-rated doors to the automotive and aviation industries.

As a totally independent supplier of woodworking machinery, it assesses individual customer requirements and then looks at the best solution for its manufacturing needs. Products include:

OMC Press

These machines can be supplied as a standard style platen press which is manually fed or can be automated as a throughfeed production machine.

The machines are available with various working areas, generally supplied oil heated and can be supplied with either 120 or 160 tons working pressure. The platens can be standard fabricated or solid depending upon customer requirements.

Kündig sander

For those looking to achieve the highest possible quality finish, the Kundig Brilliant series of machines has been a popular choice for many manufacturers throughout the UK. The machines can be supplied with multiple sanding heads or as a top and bottom sanding line.

Typically, the Brilliant-2 has proved the most popular having a dedicated calibrating roller followed by a finishing pad, therefore offering the perfect all-rounder for door or veneered panel production where accurate calibration and veneer sanding is required followed by de-nibbing to cut away surface fibres in preparation for final finishing.

AES Vega

The AES Vega series is available as either a three-axis or five-axis machine. One of the most popular choices is the AES Vega Evo which has a 9kW router head and double sided 5.5kW dedicated horizontal router head to machine pockets for locks and recesses for hinges.

The easy-to-use AES door macro allows one-off programming in minutes which include final sizing of the door blank, machining of locks, hinges, keyway, handle hole, rebates and eurogrooves. Spy holes and cut-outs for letterbox and vision panels can also be added with ease.
